Six Industry Marketing Groups Officially Endorse DistriPakUSA

Farmingdale, NY—DistriPakUSA has announced that AFFLINK, Consolidated Distributors Inc., Network Services Co., Packaging Distributors of America, Strategic Market Alliance and THE UNITED GROUP® all have endorsed DistriPakUSA The Packaging Materials and Systems Marketplace. The DistriPakUSA trade show takes place at the Orange County Convention Center on October 24-26, 2007, co-located with ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America.

Commenting on the six group endorsements, Newell Holt, CEO of NPTA Alliance says “DistriPakUSA is the opportunity for packaging distributors, manufacturers, converters and re-distributors to engage, learn about each other and develop successful business relationships. It is the only packaging trade show which focuses on the distribution channel.  The endorsement of the major marketing groups in packaging distribution is testament to the value of DistriPakUSA. Any packaging manufacturer, converter, re-distributor or distributor desiring to expand their business or solidify relationships needs to participate in DistriPakUSA. All of us at the NPTA Alliance are excited about the positive response to the 2006 trade show and are looking forward to the 2007 DistriPakUSA show.”

Founded in 1977, AFFLINK is a leading marketing group meeting the needs of distributors and manufacturers of industrial, foodservice packaging and janitorial/sanitary products headquartered in Tuscaloosa, AL. With 530 distributor locations around the country, AFFLINK will assist in getting the DistriPakUSA message out to their members and preferred suppliers.

Cheri Anderson, Senior Vice President of Business Development for AFFLINK says, "AFFLINK is focused on growing its packaging business now more than ever before. The DistriPakUSA show gives us yet another opportunity to get our message of commitment out to the industry. Engaging with our packaging members and suppliers during the event helps strengthen our overall vision of being the preeminent provider of total packaging solutions. For that, we fully endorse what this show is doing for our industry."

Consolidated Distributors, Inc. (CDI), established in 1990 and located in Monroe, LA, is a member-owned marketing group dedicated to increasing profitability of paper, sanitary maintenance, and restaurant equipment distributors. Over 80 manufacturers of paper and sanitary maintenance products are CDI preferred suppliers.

Susan G. Vinson, President, Consolidated Distributors, Inc., adds that her group strongly supports DistriPakUSA. “As an exhibitor at last year’s DistriPakUSA show in Chicago, we are looking forward to this year’s event in Orlando. Since DistriPakUSA is held in conjunction with the ISSA/INTERCLEAN ® North America trade show, we feel it will attract the largest number of wholesale distributors of any other event during the year. We feel that the DistriPakUSA show will provide the best possible exposure for our marketing group, along with providing distributors with the most economical means of contacting the greatest number of their suppliers.”

Network Services Co., located in Mount Prospect, IL, and a member of NPTA Alliance, is a member-owned multinational marketing group of over 200 distributor members. Both manufacturers and distributors of janitorial and sanitary supplies, foodservice disposables, industrial packaging, paper, printing products and related products profit by being associated with Network Services Co. Kevin L. Rudd is Executive Director of NetPak- Network Services Company and Chairman of NPTA Alliance’s Packaging Division Committee. “Network Services Co. proudly endorses and supports DistriPakUSA, says Rudd. “DistriPakUSA allows Network Services’ preferred vendors and members to conduct business in a concentrated method that is not available at other packaging industry trade shows. Network is glad to support NPTA Alliance’s efforts to increase the awareness of the industrial packaging distribution channel. Having a booth presence at DistriPakUSA allows Network to converse with distributor attendees and exhibitors, which is helpful to the growth in the packaging segment of our business. We feel that DistriPakUSA is developing into ‘the place to be’ for packaging manufacturers and distributors.”

Packaging Distributors of America (PDA), located in Alphretta, GA, services the industrial packaging and equipment distribution market. Although PDA has been in existence for less then a year, they have attracted some industry heavyweights as both preferred suppliers and distributor members. These companies will assist in making DistriPakUSA 2007 stronger. George Strobel, President of PDA states, "I was pleasantly surprised at the inaugural DistriPakUSA show last year and am making plans on attending this year’s event as well. DistriPakUSA proved to be a very friendly distributor trade show with the people I wanted to see and spend time with. I look forward to the encore performance."

Strategic Market Alliance (SMA), located in Oak Brook, IL, is a member owned group composed of janitorial, sanitation, food service and industrial packaging distributors. They vow to support DistriPakUSA within their preferred suppliers and distributor members. “SMA is an emerging market leader, serving as a catalyst for improving efficiency and effectiveness in the channel, according to Jack Dietrich, President of SMA. “As such, SMA provides like-minded distributors innovative education and training, multi-unit account opportunities, the sharing of best practices and an array of channel solutions enabling them to differentiate in the market. DistriPakUSA aligns with this commitment, bringing distributors and suppliers together to better serve the customer through the exchange of information, education, networking and the development of new ideas.”

Founded in 1983, THE UNITED GROUP, headquartered in Monroe, LA., is a member-owned, national marketing and sales group of independent distributors of sanitary/maintenance, foodservice, industrial-packaging and safety products. The group numbers over 350 member stockholders and over 150 allied preferred suppliers in the industry.

Tobie F. McKown, President and Chairman of the Board of THE UNITED GROUP® states,
“For the first time in THE UNITED GROUP history, the staff hosted a booth at the DistriPakUSA industrial and food packaging show that ran concurrently with ISSA/INTERCLEAN® North America last year, at McCormick Place in Chicago. Traffic flowed back and forth between the two shows with the result that THE UNITED GROUP’s booth received a large number of visitors. We were a hit! Our success exceeded our expectations. I cannot overstate the wellspring of good feeling toward the group that we experienced.  At DistriPakUSA, a number of distributors signed THE UNITED GROUP’s membership agreement and various vendors applied to become a Preferred Supplier of the group. The staff felt the show was so successful for the group that we took advantage of the Early Bird Special reserving double the booth space we had at the 2006 show for DistriPakUSA 2007.  We are encouraging the group’s Preferred Suppliers to participate in the 2007 event as well.”

Clearly, these endorsements are a win-win for all of the groups and DistriPakUSA. These six marketing groups’ members will also be exposed to a tremendous amount of packaging opportunities in just three days at DistriPakUSA. DistriPakUSA will give each of the groups an opportunity to educate its members and introduce them to new opportunities in industrial and food packaging. Group members will look to expand their industrial and food packaging business at DistriPakUSA. Many janitorial and sanitary supply distributor companies, who also belong to these six groups, want to sell into the packaging marketplace and DistriPakUSA finally gives them the forum to explore such opportunities. Recent statistics from ISSA assert that one-third of the distributors attending ISSA/INTERCLEAN also sell into the industrial and food packaging marketplace and another one-third will want to investigate these new opportunities.
